My love for Sóller and it’s history

Hi, I'm Ellen the creator of this book. It's good to see you here because it means you're interested in this beautiful Valley and its history. I'm more than happy to share a bit about myself and hopefully the book gives you the same inspiration that I've experienced during my travels.

Born and raised in The Netherlands I lived most of my live in Amsterdam. But Sóller has been my second hometown for 25 years since I bought a house with 5 other friends in this beautiful place. After many years working as an online marketeer and living in different places in the world like San Francisco and Singapore, I discovered on one of my trips a book about Telluride, Colorado (US). I was impressed by the design and all the great stories featured about the history of Telluride. I was questioning myself why isn’t there a book like this about Soller? Through the years I learned bits and pieces about the past of Sóller but never had the complete picture. I also knew there was so much more to discover than a couple of pages usually provided in tourist guides about Mallorca. So the idea to create a book myself became my passion. After two years of investigation, collecting materials and writing the “Soul of Soller” was born.
